Week 19

Brief: Combinations

Group Partners: Erick, Sia, Abigail, Chun

Our outcome has three parts. Which are the main building and two modes of rooms.

In our team, each one of us takes in charge of each room. Erick took the water room, and I took the mirror room. After we finish each room's idea and prototype, we combine them together.

Water Room

In the water room, the ceiling would be made by glass, water would flow on the top. When natural light comes in, the water would create beautiful visualization. People can take this room as a common room, reading room, or even party room.

Mirror Room

In the mirror room, each piece of the room could be adjusted, according to the sunlight. Different angles could create different colors. People inside the room may choose whether they want all pieces to adjust automatically or manually.

This room could be a study room, a meditation room, or even a common room.

Because the windows are adjustable, the noise may not be reduced too much.

Building

The whole building would be made by glass, each room inside would be able to adjust up and down. The fiber in the middle could store energy during daylight, and become a lighting source at night.
