Brief: Inspirations, prototypes
Group Partners: Erick, Sia, Abigail, Chun
Tutorials:
After we did so many researches and literature reviews, the next problem was how are we gonna combine the paperwork and actual design together. Based on that, I start to search for more installations and artifacts related to lights.
Inspirations:
Yayoi Kusama's infinity room.

‘Infinity Mirrored Room – Filled with the Brilliance of Life’, Yayoi Kusama [Tate Modern]
I went there last year, and being in an infinity room was so impressive. It's like the room is endless, and I am in the galaxy.

Hollow

(Katie, 2016)
This installation was placed outdoor, and they were combined with wood within different ages. The hollow structure allow natural light to come from the top and get reflected and transit into the room.
Totality

(Katie, 2016)
According to astronomy, Katie collects 365 photographs of the moon. Each photograph is different because every day's moon is different. She creates the sphere which has 365 pictures on it, when people roll it, the shape of the moon would be reflected on the wall.
Ideas:

Explanation:
The building is a polyhedron shape, and made by glass. Inside the building, each room would be hanging on the top, each room could both rotate and adjust heights.
Because we would like to maximize the utility of natural lights, so let the room be adjustable to fit the sunlight. Also, each room would be different, for example, we can have one room full of mirrors, another room have water ceiling.
