Brief: Storytelling audio, artefact analysis
Group Partners: Ling Wu, Ivy Wang, Carol Chen, Hannah Qu, Chun Li
Directed Storytelling:
We asked students and teachers in LCC to talk about their experience of anesthesia. During the storytelling, we would like to let the participants narrating their experiences and thoughts by themselves instead of asking questions.
Original audio:
Translation:
Last year I went to the hospital, to make a gastroscope, a general anesthesia gastroscope. I firstly drank a small tube of medicine, which was very uncomfortable. I felt something stuck in my throat, and then I was lying on the bed outside the menstrual area. When I was there, the doctor comes out and push me, start chatting with me, give me a narcotic. The room is dark, I do n’t feel anything at all after applying anesthetic. I can still see everything in front of my eyes, and my mind can think, I am still wondering if I am I have antibodies to narcotics, why am I so sober, thinking and thinking, suddenly I have no consciousness! When I woke up again, I first heard the nurse tell me to slowly become conscious, opened my eyes, my body was weak, and my head was numb. The nurse asked me to lie down for a while and then go out and spoke a few words to me, let I don't fall asleep, I'm lying down, but still weak, but I think I should go, so I got up hard and went out to wait for the result.
