Brief: Outcome and presentation

Group Partners: Nancy Obeid, Sarah Mack, Abigail Zhang, Evelyn Tang, Jae Xu, Chun Li

Outcome:

Ask all classmates to take a vote through the foot pedal.

Every time they step on, a fragment will drop.

When everybody takes the vote, the basket would have enough mass of fragments.

The lever structure would suddenly unbalanced.

All colorful fragments would be poured into the water.

Reaction happened.

Summary and reflection:

Alex mentioned about the color of fragments. It's blue, which represents a specific political party to her. That's the problem we missed! Chose a blue one just because the color is beautiful. :)

Voting is one of the ways showing democracy; however, it would not work if people don't choose to vote. The rates of yes or no is not what we focus on this project. Remind people of the importance of taking part. Their choice will make something happen. Democracy would not exist without people; it's not groups, crowds, or classes; it's every single person in charge.

The second week of this project really made us exhausted, we spent lots of time on the lever structure and materials. However, hard work paid off, the outcome on presentation day had good feedback. Thanks for all my team members!
